Assistance with food, clothing, and shelter for victims of disasters. Teaches people how to avoid, prevent, and cope with life-threatening emergencies through instruction in first aid, water safety, disaster preparedness, health courses, and CPR. Maintains 24-hour emergency communications system; distributes food and toys to the needy at Christmas. Provides support assistance to families, usually military, who are separated from each other by great distances.
