Partnership with Entergy Provides Relief

United Way of Southwest Louisiana will process one-time bill credit as part of Heat Relief Initiative

LAKE CHARLES, LA, September 20 – Entergy Louisiana and United Way of Southwest Louisiana are launching a new Initiative to offer financial help to its current customers dealing with the heat. The one-time $200 bill credits for eligibile customers will be processed first-come, first-served while funds last beginning Friday, September 22, 2023 at noon at unitedwayswla.org/heatrelief.

To qualify for the bill credit, the account holder’s household income must not exceed 250% of the Federal Poverty Level.

1 individual in household: $36,450
2 individuals in household: $49,300
3 individuals in household: $62,150
4 individuals in household: $75,000
5 individuals in household: $87,850
6 individuals in household: $100,700
7 individuals in household: $113,550
8 individuals in household: $126,400
For households over 8: add $12,850 for each additional individual

Account holders will need all documentation for application to be valid.

Photo ID  of account holder (driver’s license, passport, state-issued ID)

One of the following forms of income verification for each earner in household:

            First page of 2022 tax return(s)

            2022 W2(s)

            Last paystub(s)

            Social Security Administration 1099 or 1042S form(s)

 

Account holder will receive an email within 10 business days if application is eligible.
