Shake Your Shamrock At Battle For The Paddle

United Way of Southwest Louisiana’s Cook Off, Battle for the Paddle, will be a wee bit o’ fun on St. Patrick’s Day with jambalaya and pastalaya competitions, kids zone, live music by LA ROXX and of course green beer.

No ticket required for LA ROXX concert or Kids Zone. They will be free and open to the public.

Come sample some of the best jambalaya and pastalaya our region has to offer. Help award the People’s Choice for both divisions while they vie for First, Second and Third place. Wear your best St. Paddy’s Day outfits and help us raise money for Southwest Louisiana.

To cook and compete in either the Jambalaya or Pastalaya Division, or both, registration ends soon. Sign up today online at unitedwayswla.org/battle. Teams can compete in either the Jambalaya or Pastalaya Division or both. To enter one division is a fee of $500 and entering two divisions is $750. Sampler and VIP Lounge tickets are on sale now if you just want to attend and try some of the amazing food. A VIP Lounge Ticket is available for $50 which gets a limited number of guests into the heart of the battle and a great view of the concert by LA ROXX along with unlimited food, beer and wine. Sampler Tickets are available for $15 each and allows you to eat all you can eat from each competitor vying for bragging rights. A limited number of pre-sale Lunch To Go Tickets are available for $10. These jambalaya plates will need to be picked up on Thursday, March 17 from 11 am to 1 pm. Group orders are encouraged. Tickets can be purchased online at unitedwayswla.org/battle or by texting SHAMROCK to 40403.

Dinner To Go Tickets are $10 and will be prepared jambalaya and pastalaya plates for pick up at the event. Tickets can be purchased online at unitedwayswla.org/battle or by texting SHAMROCK to 40403.
