Tami Chrisope joined nonprofit leadership in the live entertainment presenting world and an educational arts outreach program for local schools after graduating with a concentration in Visual Arts and Business Management. As a working single mother, she successfully organized wine and food fundraisers and university events. After an almost twenty-year career, she was offered the chance to work in marketing and communications in the nonprofit human services area.
In 2018, she made the natural shift from helping children without access to a quality arts education to a new career in assisting community members without access to the building blocks that lead to a successful life.
She was first hired for her dream job as Director of Marketing and Communications and now holds the position of Senior Director, the first to hold that position at United Way of Southwest Louisiana.
Tami is an alumnus of McNeese State University, Leadership Southwest Louisiana and the UWW LEAD Program. She is a proud mother of two sons and an even prouder grandmother to one little girl.
